I've added the link to the Harris County Employees Forum to my list on the left because I think it's worth reading, but it is NOT for everyone. It gets raunchy and crude. It surprises me every time I read it that I can read it. You'd think they'd lock it down and keep it inside a box with blues fences all around. These are real people with real concerns. You can feel their pain and glimpse their humor. There are also some trouble makers and malcontents just like everywhere in life. I guess what I'm trying to say is you have to take it with a grain of salt and consider the frustation of those that spill their guts there.
Right now there's a post entitled Advice For The Ladies that's really very funny. It won't be there long though because when someone adds a new post it knocks off the oldest one.
As always I'm on their team when it comes to more pay and better benefits!

Sadly, because so many of them are afraid of retaliation by their chain of command, they refuse to join a forum where they have to sign up. That would cause many of the worst trolls and mean-spirited people on the forum to use it less as a venting board and more as a resource to getting changes made in their favor.
