I've been trying to write some stuff for awhile now....like days....and Blogger has been ailing. I thought it was something I'd done, but I got rid of what I thought was the problem and it's still quirky.
Sigh.
This is a test post. Had this been a real post it would of been absolutely brilliant. No lie, you'd all be sending me greets and flowers and candy and stuff like that. You'll just have to take my word on it though because, of course, all the brilliance that was is no more. Story of my almost never witnessed brilliant life!
BTW, the Astros are just doing great on this road trip and the tiny 2 day home stand. I wish we could bottle the joy and save some for the less thrilling days to come. And there will be less thrilling days, it's a given, you can't win them all...no matter how cool that would be.
You know, one of my kids pointed out that the Astros are the best looking ballplayers in the majors and she's right. Even scruffy old Woody has a nice butt.

The New And Improved TexasGoodies!
Well, okay, maybe not new, but hopefully improved! I like the new template and I think it's easier on the eyes to read.
I've almost got 300 blathering posts in the past couple of years via the blogasphere so I'm thinking this isn't just a whim, it's here to stay! It's permanent, or as permanent as anything in life can be, so why not spiff it up? Spiffy is good for the soul....it's like moving furniture around....sometimes a gals got to do what a gals got to do! You get tired of looking at the same old, same old (hmmm which is probably why people can't stay married any more!).....but, as usual, I digress....
Enjoy TexasGoodies sans dots!
And thanks again to Blogger for the free space and almost 100% up-time all the time! The new Blogger is vastly improved and changing templates was slicker than owl poop! It just doesn't get any better than slick owl poop.....trust me on that one!

Where's My Dadgum Dots?

Is it just me or did my green dots just disappear overnight?
I've been thinking about biting the bullet and trying out a new template or one of the "easy" drop and drag customizations, but I didn't want to go to a lot of trouble. However if my dots took a dive then rather than try and "fix" the existing template I guess I'll just have to make some changes.
I'll pop the hood tomorrow and take a look-see......if you don't see me back up lookin' spiffy in a day or so send HELP!

Blogger: Dashboard
Blogger: Dashboard: "Your new version of Blogger is ready!
The new version of Blogger now has all the original features you're used to, plus new post labels, drag-and-drop template editing, and privacy controls. And, it's a lot more reliable.
After you switch you'll need to sign in with your Google Account, but your blogs will stay the same. Their content and layout will not change."
Blogger is buggin' the crapola outta me over this whole new version deal. The key word is "beta". I don't want no stinkin' beta! Let someone else work out all the bugs and THEN maybe I'll switch (if I have to).
This is almost as irritating as the nag screens that MickeySoft can throw at a person. I'm not interested in any part of Vista until I have to be. I don't use the Internet Explorer browser unless I have to and it griped me royally to have to figure out how to get rid of the nag screen and not install it within the latest upgrade. I ended up going to the 'security center' and turning off automatic upgrades. I'm the original cut off my own nose to spite my face gal! I've been burned too many times to not have learned to leave the match playing to others!
